About us

Amazónikas is a project that connects the traditional art of Amazonian identity with contemporary design. We aim for sustainability by promoting the use of traditional and ancestral techniques with natural materials in a responsible manner; each of our pieces conveys the aesthetic and cultural value of the Peruvian Amazon.

Sustainable Art and Design Co-creation

At Amazónikas, we strive to define collaborative processes between design and the traditional arts of the Amazon. Each project is developed and presented as the result of community work. We create together to convey the feelings of the indigenous Amazonian peoples through various visual expressions of the communities and sustainable design proposals to protect our natural environment. We seek to connect the past with the present, the local with the global, to celebrate the creative value of the Amazonian peoples.

Communities

The wisdom of the Amazonian peoples lies in their quest for balance; living surrounded by nature makes them a part of it, which is why they understand and feel integrated with this living energy. Their constantly evolving art visualizes the language and rituality that come with living in harmony with nature. Discover and share these sensations through AMAZÓNIKAS.
